Google User Data Requests
Google's reported government requests for user information, from the Transparency Report bulk export: requests, accounts and the share of requests where some data was disclosed, per country × legal process, plus the diplomatic/MLAT slice, Enterprise Cloud (GCP and Google Workspace) requests, and the US national-security figures (FISA and National Security Letters), which are reportable only as banded ranges. A tidy-long dataset: each row is one measured value identified by dataset × half-year × country × legal process × metric. Ranges are not additive and percentages must never be summed — and 2012 H2 – 2014 H1 report an 'All' aggregate alongside the per-process split — the charts below pick the correct grain for each view (the two grains are disjoint, so the global totals sum both).

Global requests for user data
Requests received worldwide per half-year. Google filed early periods as an 'All'-process aggregate and later ones as a per-process split — the two grains never overlap for the same country and period, so their sum is the exact global total.
Top 10 countries by requests
Countries ranked by user-data requests, all periods combined. The early 'All'-grain filings and the later per-process split are disjoint, so summing both grains counts every request exactly once.
Requests by legal process
User-data requests per legal-process type, all periods combined ('All' aggregate excluded). The per-process breakdown covers only the United States before 2014 H2, so early periods contribute US volume only.
US National Security Letters (banded)
NSL requests are reportable only in ranges — the lower and upper bounds per half-year.
What the export covers
The number of reported values in each dataset of the bulk export. Counts of rows, not summed quantities.
